This is extremely simplistic, but so often truths are. Fear is just a reaction. Unfortunately, we often allow our reactions to guide our decision making. And we do it without thinking.
Here’s the fix: Make it a habit to notice your reaction and then question your reaction. Get to the root of why you are feeling the fear. More often than not, it’s rooted in ego (we’re afraid we’ll fail, look silly, or sound stupid).
If it is rooted in ego, then you know what to do, right? Tell your ego to get over it! And then flex your courage muscle and get on with it!
