One of the biggest issues people face when it comes to clutter clearing is overwhelm.
Where do I start? How do I start?
Those two questions are asked most often, and almost always prefaced by……
I am so overwhelmed, I have no idea how I will ever get through this!
Well, my advice never varies. I remind people that things didn’t cluttered overnight and they aren’t magically going to get decluttered overnight. I know that isn’t always welcome news – people would love for me to wave a magic wand and make it all better. But the reality is that very few people have the time or resources to do a radical decluttering of their life in one fell swoop (to be clear, it can be done, it just takes dedicated blocks of time and an absolute readiness, coupled with a determined willingness – but that last part is true of any goal!).
Now just because it’s not going to be clutter free overnight, doesn’t mean you can’t make progress relatively quickly. In fact, you can. Baby steps will get you just as far as big ones. What matters is that you keep putting one foot in front of the other – slow and steady has been know to win the race ; )
But what if you are unsure of the direction you should be moving? I’ve got you covered. I know it’s sometimes hard to see the forest when all those pesky trees get in the way. And I know it’s hard to get our bearings when we feel overwhelmed. Overwhelm can make simple things can seem complicated.
So I created The Clutter Challenge. Each week The Clutter Challenge offers you a super simple clutter clearing task that you can do in as little as ten minutes. And each task is designed to create real results. You’ll be able to see and/or feel the difference!
The tasks are delivered via email, in video format – so you don’t even have to read if you’re feeling lazy (and we’re all apt to be lazy now and then – it’s human nature to take the path of least resistance and that is a key factor when it comes to getting organized).
Best part, your investment is your time. That’s right, there is no ‘cost’ – it’s a free program. But if you choose to invest just ten minutes once a week, your return could be off the charts! And you know the saying time is money, right? Well you could turn your time into money, because clutter really does cost us financially. But I bet you knew that already.
